The Wall of Rannoch forms a great sweep of mountains along the edge of Rannoch Moor, its line containing the Munros Beinn Dòrain, Beinn an Dothaidh, Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a' Chreachain. This view was taken from the summit plateau of Ben Starav, reached by an unrelentingly steep climb from almost sea level. I can't claim to have enjoyed every minute of the ascent, but arriving to perfect winter conditions and a view like this felt like a fair reward for the effort.
