After an overnight camp I awoke to a marvellous sight — a sea of low lying mist forming and streaming across the length of Rannoch Moor. The sun was rising into a thick veil of fog that cast a subtle light upon the landscape; although this type of light is generally not suited to sweeping panoramas, I felt it added to the atmosphere of the morning and the moment.
