The onset of autumn prompts a dramatic change across the landscape. The monotonous blanket of green that can choke the environment is gradually replaced by autumn's rich colour palette. To the photographer this natural injection of colour provides the much-needed contrast that can be so difficult to find during the summer months. This image was shot from the north shore of Loch Etive, looking south towards the imposing crags and corries of Ben Cruachan as they were thrown into sharp relief by the setting sun.
