With weather this dynamic, almost anything can happen. This brief display was largely down to luck and coincidence, while many of the mountains close by remained completely capped in cloud. For a short time everything came together in front of me, and remarkably it was all happening before four o'clock in the afternoon. Such are the short days, and occasional rewards, of mountain photography in the depths of a Scottish winter.
