Overlooking Achnahaird Bay, Cnoc Mòr is well positioned for uninterrupted views of the Inverpolly mountains. I had long thought that this tiny hillock would make an excellent vantage point if the conditions were right. Fortunately I timed my arrival perfectly and witnessed the remnants of a ferocious weather system as it finally cleared the mountains of Cul Mòr, Stac Pollaidh, Beinn an Eoin and Ben More Coigach.
