The Photograph
Stob Ghabhar
Hasselblad XPan 90mm
This photograph was largely a matter of being in the right place at the right time. I was on my way to Glen Coe when the changing weather around Loch Tulla caught my attention, with patches of mist drifting across the water and fresh snow covering the higher slopes beyond. Taken from the roadside, it was a very different approach from the long climbs and careful planning behind much of my photography. It was also a reminder that in Scotland you don’t always need a mountain expedition to find something worth photographing. Sometimes the landscape simply presents itself, and all you have to do is stop.
